I designed and wrote this book as part of my independent study. Being from Mexico, wanted to create something that highlighted my heritage, as well as my skills, but most importantly a violence issue. Ten women die everyday in Mexico, yet not a lot of people are aware. I hope that through these colorful illustrations, I am able to bring awareness to an overlooked problem and encourage others to speak up, continue the fight and be educated on this social issue.
